In the mid 1980's Frederica established a new direction for jewelry design. Having studied industrial design at the Pratt Institute in New York, she had a great foundation for how to improve aesthetics, functionality and usability of a product. It was that knowledge as well as her inspiration from Greek, Roman and French architecture that led her to the designs for her first collection. Utilizing a unique eye for color and a liking for vintage style, this collection featured 18K matte gold and cabochon gemstones. Esti Frederica later introduced a sterling silver line as well that compliments the bold gold, diamonds and gemstones in her first agglomeration. Although the Frederica Collection is now retired, her pieces are still strongly desired by collectors.
